Bell the Mouse is a short VN about a mouse in a bandit gang who has to distract the owner of a mansion from noticing everyone else. How do they do this? By wearing a bell collar, of course! Does it go to plan? Absolutely not!

Made for the All the Mods Jam! I made this using Penguinmod and the Animated Text and Font Manager extensions.  All block coding, art, and writing was done by me (although the art and writing were done off-Scratch)! The voices, music, and and the bell sound effect were made by me using Beepbox, but the rest of the sound effects were from the Penguinmod sound libary.

Quick explanation on my interpretation of the theme: Bell the Mouse is an inversion of the Aesop fable "Belling the Cat". Where that fable uses the metaphor of belling a cat as nobody willing to do something that somebody says should be done due to difficulty, this inversion goes with belling a mouse as someone being forced to do the hard (and likely extremely stupid) thing.

This game is also a bit buggy. There are some visual bugs I couldn't quite solve, and pressing too fast may cause more visual bugs or softlocks. So sorry if it gives you issues! I tried my best, I've not used Scratch/its modded equvalents in forever.
