Simple Procedure is a short, dark interactive fiction game where you have to perform surgery to “humanize” animal women. You've done this procedure before, and you will certainly do it again. Today's patient is a mouse-girl.

Content warning: mild sexual references, body horror/gore, surgical themes, and misogyny + slutshaming and fatphobia connected with it. This game is against misogyny and is written by someone AFAB. THIS IS NOT A PORN GAME, the age-gate is due to the mild sexual references and graphic nature of the body horror and gore.

This was created for Neointeractive's 2026 (No) Dialogue Jam! I ended up choosing to go with no dialogue, since I think that fits more thematically. I did have a lot more ambitious ideas for this, but unfortunately, I've been dying from finals so there's no way I would've been able to do more than this short game. This took me about ehhh 5-6 hours total to make? Most of it was done with thanks to a friend who sat on call with me and worked on their own project (thanks if you see this I owe you my life).

So, so good. I absolutely loved the way you explored the stated themes and it was so disturbing being in the mind of the surgeon. I really related to a lot of the commentary and it's super impactful despite being done in such a subtle, tactful way.  Very suitable to the current times we're living in right now too with stuff like looksmaxing and cosmetic surgery being as popular as it is which just further highlights how relevant and terrifying the game is.

Fantastic, 10/10, no notes!!

Super late but I do super appreciate this comment still, thank you so so much! I definitely wanted to make it disturbing to be in the surgeon's mind, so I'm glad I pulled that off well.
